Operations Manager
Hanson Music is looking for an Operations Manager to join the team.
The successful applicant will have excellent customer service, communication and computer literacy skills. You will have responsibility for dealing with customers and providing them with award winning levels of service.
You will be a key team member and receive the highest level of specialist training in Woodwind, Brass and Stringed instruments including hands-on opportunities in the workshop.
The role involves
- Providing excellent and consistent service to customers in-store, online and via the telephone.
- Taking and processing orders for in-store and mail-order customer.
- Organising and maintaining schedules, liaising with the workshop to deliver on time to our customers.
- Despatch of orders and stock control.
- Working with the directors to develop the business.

Projects delivery
Our Music and Arts outreach programme delivers high quality events and educational projects to a wide and varied audience.
The successful applicant will be a creative ideas person as well as a competent musician, likely with post graduate level performance skills on at least one instrument and a good understanding and appreciation of other instruments.
Excellent communication and computer literacy skills will be essential and an understanding or experience in basic accounting and forecasting would be an advantage.
You will be a key team member and receive the highest level of specialist training in Woodwind, Brass and Stringed instruments including hands-on opportunities in the workshop.
The role involves
- Imagining creative projects that deliver high quality experiences for participants.
- Organising delivery of projects including participating as a practitioner.
- Planning and working to schedules and budgets.
- Working alongside funding team and with external organisations to ensure a sustainable delivery of projects.
- Working with the directors to develop the business.

Cleaner
Essential to the running of the centre is a clean and tidy environment.
The successful applicant will see what is to be done and get going. Working as part of the team you will be responsible for general cleanliness and tidiness but not be expecting to go it alone! – All staff members from top to bottom have a responsibility to work together including keeping the premises visitor ready. Be sure that the role of cleaner is well valued!

Marketing and Funding co-ordinator
Our Music and Arts outreach programme delivers high quality events and educational projects to a wide and varied audience.
Marketing and funding are key to successful delivery. A background in arts administration, funding and marketing will be beneficial to this role. You will likely be a creative ideas person as well as a competent musician on at least one instrument and a good understanding and appreciation of other instruments.
