Legends brought to life
Hand crafted precision brass band instruments
Using genuine parts from the original manufacturers we are recreating the famous Boosey and Hawkes ’round stamp’ instruments.
Availability is extremely limited. Hand built in the heart of brass band country we’re remaking legends to last a lifetime.
World Class Saxophones – Made in Great Britain
Members of the Heritage Craft Association we are proud to support endangered crafts. We are the only company to manufacture, rather than assemble saxophones in Britain for almost a Century.
Hanson saxophones have gained an enviable reputation in a relatively short space of time; our first saxes were made in 2003 and they now rank amongst the best in the world.

What our customers say
I recently visited the Hanson factory… I tried a few altos and I have to say I could have easily used the SA3 or SA5 on a gig. The SA5 in particular compared very well with the pro SA8 I had borrowed, and any of these would easily blow away a Jupiter or Trevor James Signature and even compared very favourably to an early YAS-62 I used to have.
I now have a beautiful clarinet! I received him yesterday and he is really lovely. I play yesterday either, everything was great the sound, the mechanics! I don’t really know what to say! It’s amazing! I’m very happy with it! Thanks again for the great services and the lovely clarinet!
Thank you for the way in which you helped Emilly and your generosity… I wish you every success…
I received my new SE-5 grenadilla wood clarinet about 10 days ago and I have to say that I am really delighted with it. It is a quality instrument and has an excellent tone. Compared to my old [clarinet] it is a great improvement and I am happily playing a lot more than I have done over recent months! Many thanks for all your help. You have every reason to be proud of your company – the quality of service and of product is exceptional.
Thank you very much. We were delighted with the clarinet and Emily’s music teacher was very impressed.
Visit our workshop in the beautiful Yorkshire Moors.
Visitors to the workshops are made very welcome but don’t expect glitzy showrooms! Instead you will find busy workbenches and an equal mix of traditional and modern engineering.
Relax in the knowledge that we do not employ salespeople – instead you will be greeted by expert craftsmen providing down to earth, honest, practical help and advice.
There are often exclusive offers on display items, prototypes and special editions not available online.
