Description
This is a very interesting saxophone manufactured by C.G.Conn in around 1914 and is pitched in the key of C (instead of the key of Eb or Bb as on Tenor or Alto saxophones respectively). In the early 20th century there were several companies manufacturing the C melody saxophone, which was a relatively popular instrument at the time, but production was halted by the Financial crash of 1929 and never recovered.
If you are interested in the C melody saxophone and would like to know more, there is a wikipedia page here dedicated to it that makes for interesting reading.
