Description
Our top model cornet, with a rich and full brass band tone and the specially designed conical bore affords an easy singing upper register.
Players of older model Sovereign cornets will feel immediately comfortable with the feel of the instrument which sits comfortably in your hand. No main tuning slide trigger is required as intonation is excellent throughout the range.
As every instrument is hand made to your specification with your choice of gold or yellow brass and so bespoke positioning of triggers and spacing of the bell to mouthpipe is a no cost option.
Hanson instruments have a great brass pedigree:
Alastair Hanson has played in brass bands since being just four years old, was fortunate enough to be taught by the legendary James Shepherd and went on to play with many of the countries top ‘Championship’ section bands until his thirties when he moved to orchestral playing. Alastair’s instruments have been played by principal players at famous name bands such as Black Dyke Mills, Grimethorpe and Brighouse and Rastrick and some of the finest musicians in the worlds best orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra have also had instruments made or built by Alastair.
