Description
One of the first ever ‘Hanson’ saxophones, the Monarch is a wonderful saxophone that was completely hand built and hand engraved in Marsden by Alastair Hanson- owner and founder of Hanson Music- himself. The design of the saxophone was based on the famous Mark VI, but with updated and modernised keywork to make it feel like a new sax, whilst also making it much more sturdy. The Monarch also features nickel-silver plated elements and a Phosphor bronze body which enables the Monarch to produce an undeniably warm and resonant sound. There aren’t many of these Monarchs about anymore, so act quick if you want it to be yours! This alto is finished with a ‘raw bronze’ look with gold lacquered keys, which really creates a stunning looking saxophone.
This saxophone was built many years ago and has been used as a display model, so has been played its fair share of times, and it is still in excellent condition.
