Fault finding and correction to make the instrument play properly.
This is the option we suggest for most instruments which come to the workshop for ‘servicing’. In fact they most often need general repairs, not routine maintenance. Our ‘full playing order’ work includes straightening keywork; replacing touch corks, felts and up to 3 pads (additional pads required are chargeable); regulation (balancing of the mechanism); Magnohelic pressure test and play test. If the instrument needs more work than the basic price we will advise you.
Bent keywork, cracks and tenon cork joints are not included in a service.
