Description
The Selmer Series 10G is a superbly made professional model clarinet made in France by one of the world’s most respected instrument manufacturers, and it represents excellent value for money. The G in the 10G stands for Gigliotti, who once played principal clarinet for the Philidelphia Symphony Orchestra. In his time the Selmer R13 was the instrument of choice for professionals, but Gigliotti became frustrated with its short comings and so went to Selmer with some modifications. The result was the Series 10G, an improved and “Americanised” R13, with a warmer sound and better intonation. It’s a hugely popular instrument amongst professional clarinetists, especially jazz aficionados for its broad sound which is made possible by the large bore it features.
This is a second hand clarinet but it is in superb condition and once it has been serviced and play tested in our workshop, it will play and feel as if it were a new instrument.
