The Virtuoso by Trevor James is aimed at the most serious players who are looking to take their playing to that next level. It is perfect for those looking for a colourful, deep timbre with a wide tonal range. The flute has many great features including 925 silver (92.5% silver content) headjoint, body, and footjoint tube, a quality and responsive headjoint design, hand over-cutting and undercutting of the embouchure hole, and a Silver-plated French style pointed key arm mechanism. This clarinet is provided with the TJ Wooden Lip/Riser headjoint, as pictured below, which offers a completely different feel and tonal characteristic compared to the usual silver headjoints. It is well suited to all music genres, but especially baroque pieces.
These are brand new instruments that have been set up and finished by hand in Trevor James’ UK technical workshops, so your instrument will play perfectly as soon as you pick it up.
