This range of mouthpieces features a smaller than normal bore and a flat baffle. The medium sized chamber gives a focused tone.
Because of the small bore, the resistance makes the instrument easy to play without using a huge amount of air.

It should be noted that the tip opening is only one element of the mouthpiece. Facing length also plays an important role to the feel whilst the baffle and chamber size/shape colour the sound.
