Description

Here we have the iconic Selmer Mark VI serial (200xxx) which dates it to being made in 1972. This is a hugely popular and sought after instrument and despite its age is still the saxophone used to compare all other saxophones to. A large number of modern day saxophones base their keywork on the design of the Mark VI, which is a testament to the instruments popularity and stature. This saxophone produces a quality tone throughout the range, has excellent intonation and projects really well, which is why many consider this to be arguably one of the best all round saxophones on the market. As one can see on the photos below, this instrument has a brass body with silver plated keys, which makes for a really lovely looking saxophone.

This is a second hand instrument which is still in great condition. The instrument is also due to go through our own workshop where it will be cleaned, stripped and set up so that it looks and feels as good as ever.
