The Cantabile flute is described by Trevor James as one of their ‘step-up’ flutes, for those advancing players wanting to upgrade from their first instruments. The flute features a 925 solid silver headjoint (92.5% silver content), a solid silver footjoint tube, French style pointed key arm mechanism, and a silver plated body. We believe all this makes it a free blowing and responsive flute whose sound can be enhanced further with the various headjoint options that are available. This option of the Cantabile is supplied with the TJ Wooden Lip/Riser headjoint, handmade in England, which offers a completely different feel and tonal characteristic compared to the usual silver headjoints. It is well suited to all music genres, but especially baroque pieces.
These are brand new instruments that have been set up and finished by hand in Trevor James’ UK technical factories, so your instrument will play perfectly as soon as you pick it up.
